Lecture 3 - Existence of God - kalam Cosmological Argument

Summary

Everything that begins to exist must have a cause. Several philosophical arguments and scientific evidences show that the universe began to exist and thus has a cause itself.

This argument is simple, yet profound. If the universe has a cause, what is it? The cause of the universe must be uncaused, beginningless, spaceless, timeless, immaterial, changeless, unimaginably powerful and has the free will of a personal agent. Call it whatever you want, but by all accounts, this cause of the universe is what everybody means by "God".
