A Christian and Atheist Debate

Summary

How do atheist arguments stand up when they are confronted by a knowledgeable Christian?

Do you just assume that atheists are the only "rational" ones in the debate? Are you one that thinks that "religious fanatics" have nothing to back up their claims except for wild fantasies and crazy stories about make-believe gods? If you do think this, or have never really thought about it but just assumed there were no good arguments for the belief in the Christian God, then why not watch this debate between two well-respected professionals in their fields and get both sides of the story.

Watch William Lane Craig, a well-known philosopher and Christian theologian, and Peter Atkins, a well-known chemist and fervent atheist, spar in this 1998 debate that attempts to answer the question, "What is the evidence for and against the existence of God?".
