Summary
Several arguments in support for the existence of God and for Christianity have been presented so far. Not only have positive arguments and evidences been given, but there were also defensive refutations that were offered in rebuttal to many atheistic responses to those arguments. At a minimum, this should quell any doubts you may have had as to the question of whether or not Christianity can be defended with reasonable and rational arguments. But for many people, it goes far beyond that – these arguments can provide the much-needed “intellectual permission” to accept the truth claims of Christianity and to begin a personal journey towards a loving relationship with God.However, atheists and non-Christians do raise other objections in order to attempt to refute theism in general and Christianity in particular. If there is a God that is all powerful, why do we have so much evil and suffering in this world, couldn't he create a world without all of that? How can a loving God send people to hell? What about those people in far off lands that never heard of Jesus Christ - how can God send someone to hell for not believing in Jesus if that person never heard of Jesus in the first place? Miracles can't really happen and you can't prove that they did, right?
This lecture provides the Christian responses to these and other objections.
